BREAKTHROUGH

Based on true events, BREAKTHROUGH follows Frederick Banting, a determined physician in 1920’s Toronto obsessed with finding a treatment for diabetes. When his experiments falter, the university assigns a rival scientist to assist, igniting Banting’s fear of losing credit for his discovery. As a dying boy becomes their first test subject, Banting’s pursuit of recognition pushes him to the brink of obsession and moral collapse.
